Underage Sales Volunteers
Trading Standards are always looking for volunteers to assist them with test purchase operations across the County – do you know a young person who could help?
What does a Test Purchase Volunteer Do?
- Enter shops, as directed, and attempt to purchase an age restricted product, such as alcohol or vapes.
- Not engage in unnecessary conversation.
- Be aware of surroundings and observant when inside a shop.
- Engage with other volunteers; Trading Standards Staff and Police Officers.
Are there any specific qualifications or skills required?
- Able to understand and follow instructions.
- Good observational skills.
- Truthful.
- Patient.
- Respectful.
- A desire to help prevent criminal activities.
