What happens when your sponsor's licence is revoked?
UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) will send you two notifications by email:
- 1st email will tell you that your sponsor’s licence has been revoked
- 2nd email will tell you that:
- your Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) has been cancelled
- you have 60 days from the date of this CoS cancellation notification to regularise your stay or leave the UK
The emails will also tell you what support is available from regional teams and local authorities to find a new sponsor and will include a list of the appropriate email addresses.
If you email the regional teams / local authorities to ask for support, please include your sponsor’s name and address, and the date of your email notification.
It is important that you check your email inbox and your junk / SPAM folders regularly because the 60-day countdown starts on the date that UKVI send the email and NOT the day that you open it.
