My child receives education other than at school (EOTAS)– can they receive any assistance?

Question:
My child receives education other than at school (EOTAS)– can they receive any assistance?
Answer:

Whilst pupils who are electively home educated are not eligible to receive any assistance, new guidance has been issued regarding those who are receiving education other than at school (EOTAS). A new policy and process is being considered for those pupils who meet the free school meals entitlement criteria and have a finalised Education, Health and Care Plan where section I (education provision) is blank, and are receiving education via EOTAS arranged by the authority. We aim to have this policy and process in place by October half term.
