Autism outreach team procedures

  1. Pupil receives a formal or working diagnosis of an ASC from qualified diagnosing body.
  2. Pupil is referred to the Autism Outreach Team by the School.
  3. Initial visit is completed to ascertain level of need (within 6 weeks in term time).
  4. Pupil is placed on waiting list according to level of need.
  5. Pupil reaches top of waiting list, team members contact School to arrange meetings with parents/School staff.
  6. Meetings take place and pupil sessions/observations are planned and delivered as required.
  7. Team members share their observations and recommendations to School and parents.
  8. Input is planned and recommendations are regularly reviewed.
