The latest round of a grants scheme for projects which can improve the environment and quality of life in local communities has been launched.
Resource management firm Veolia has opened this year’s Staffordshire EnviroGrant Scheme. It offers amounts of funding (up to £1,000) to local groups as part of the company’s partnership with Staffordshire County Council.
The EnviroGrant Scheme is a community fund to which not-for-profit community groups based in Staffordshire can apply for grants of up to £1,000 for projects that aim to improve their local environment or the quality of life for their local communities. All applications will be considered on their individual merit.
The closing date for applications is October 29 2018 and grants will be awarded in early December.
Staffordshire County Councillor Gill Heath, cabinet member for communities said:
The EnviroGrant Scheme will provide a welcomed boost to community groups across Staffordshire and could help to kick-start a range of projects.
We’re pleased that Veolia are continuing to support us in this way, and is backing Staffordshire communities. I’d urge groups to get in touch and make their applications as soon as possible.”
