People are being advised that the county council’s customer contact centre, available on 0300 111 8000 remains open and access to many council services is available on the MyStaffs App and online at www.staffordshire.gov.uk.
The reminder follows the council’s decision to temporarily close Staffordshire Place in Stafford to the public from Friday 27 march in efforts to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus.
Philip Atkins, Leader of Staffordshire County Council, said:
“The challenges and risks around Coronavirus that we face remain significant and it’s vital that we all do what we can to help reduce the spread of the virus.
“Given the Government’s latest advice to reduce social interaction between people, our duty as a county council is to keep people safe and this is the most sensible way forward. Even though the building will be closed to the public there will still be ways to access many services including on our website and via the MyStaffs App.
“These remain really difficult times for us all however if we pull together and support one another, particularly the over-70s, we will get through this.”
The key priority for the county council remains to keep the vulnerable adults and children in its communities safe in the coming weeks and months.
People can download the MyStaffs App on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
