Grab a Jab this Bank Holiday weekend

Posted on Friday 27th August 2021

People aged 16 and over are being urged to grab a jab over the Bank Holiday weekend if they live or work near a participating walk-in vaccine clinic.

You can find where your nearest sites are by visiting the NHS website at www.nhs.uk/coronavirusvaccine. No appointments are necessary, but please bring ID.

Centres open for 16s and over include the Kingston Centre, Stafford, Roman Way Hotel, Cannock, Norton Canes Dental Practice, Alderwood Medical Practice, Cannock,  Tamworth Baptist Church and SpringPharm Tamworth.

There is also a grab a jab clinic for 18 and overs at Uttoxeter Racecourse. Check the national website for days, opening times and vaccine types available.

Dr Johnny McMahon,  Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Support lead on Covid-19 response, said:

“Vaccination really is the best way for us to maintain the freedoms we’ve gained, along with taking sensible precautions like wearing a face covering in crowded areas.

“These Grab a Jab clinics are a great way to get a vaccine this bank holiday, and if there are none near you keep checking back or book online for other clinics if you are 18 and over."
