Residents urged to get vaccinated this summer

Mo the mobile vaccination bus returns to Staffordshire this week, and will be providing a walk-in service offering first, second and booster jabs. 

A mobile Covid-19 vaccination bus will travel across Staffordshire this week, to help boost vaccine uptake in certain areas and make it easier for residents to get a Covid jab. The bus will offer first, second and booster jabs to anyone aged 12 and over. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  

 The mobile vaccination bus will visit:

  • Affinity Shopping Centre car park, 26 July, 11.30am – 4.30pm
  • Staffordshire University, 27 July, 11.30am – 4.30pm
  • Keele University Campus, in front of Student Union, 28 July, 11.30am – 4.30pm
  • United Carpets car park, 29 July, 10.30am – 3.30pm
  • Leek & District Show, 30 July, 10.30am – 4.30pm

Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Support Member for Public Health and Integrated Care, Paul Northcott, said:

“Covid has not gone away, and the vaccine remains the best way to protect yourself and others from the virus. It’s not too late to receive a first, second or booster jab of the vaccine and I urge everyone who is eligible, to get fully protected as soon as they can. 

The vaccination bus offers a quick and convenient way for people to get vaccinated, so please take up the opportunity to get your vaccine.”
