Wombourne Library
People living in South Staffordshire will soon be able to access the county’s registration services locally when a new office opens.
From May, residents who need to register a birth, death or give notice of marriage or civil partnerships will be able to do so at Wombourne library.
The service will be available every Wednesday from 9am to 5pm. People can find out more and book appointments at www.staffordshire.gov.uk, on the MyStaffs App, or by calling 03001118001.
Philip White, Deputy Leader at Staffordshire County Council said:
“This is great news for people living in South Staffordshire and means they will be able to complete their registrations without travelling to the main offices at either Cannock or Tamworth.
“We want to make it easier for people living in rural areas to access our services, which is why we are trialling the new venue. We are always looking to improve and develop the services we offer and I would encourage people to make the most of the service.”
Staffordshire has five full-time registration offices and three satellite offices. The service deals with around 2,800 births each year, 6,500 deaths and 4,000 marriage and civil ceremonies.
