Work to improve access on a trading estate in Tamworth begins early next month.

The 12-week scheme, which is being funded by the developer, will see the new junctions created on Brent and Forties, where the B&M, Lidl and The Range stores are located. Two existing junctions on both roads will be removed.

In addition, the Brent junction with Ninian Way will also be improved, with double yellow lines installed on Brent and its footways widened.

The scheme starts on Monday June 5 and temporary traffic signals will be in operation throughout the works period.

Staffordshire County Council’s cabinet member for highways and transport David Williams said:

This is a developer scheme which will see access improved to the stores in the area.

While work takes place, temporary traffic lights will be in operation, so we’d ask people to allow additional travel time and thank people for their patience while work takes place.”
