Highways work completed in Werrington

The newly reconstructed and resurfaced A52 Ash Bank Road in Werrington.
Work on a major highways improvements scheme in Werrington has been completed.
The £780,000 Staffordshire County Council improvements on the A52 Ash Bank Road, included reconstruction and resurfacing of the road.
Highways crews also carried out repairs to kerbs and ironworks as well as cutting back the vegetation and resurfacing footpaths throughout the scheme.
The scheme is part of a wider £50 million additional investment in the county’s roads over the next three years.
James Bailey, Assistant Director for Highways and the Built County at Staffordshire County Council said:
“It’s great to get yet another scheme completed, and I’d like to thank people for their patience during the work.
“We know that good roads are really important for people and for our local economy, which is why we are investing an extra £50 million in highways over the next three years. This is a well-used road and, with the new surface, I’m sure people will notice a real difference in their journeys.”
