A business professional from a Stafford-based company has given a local fully funded recruitment service a big thumbs up.

Wilkinson Collective, which runs a range of visitor and entertainment brands, as well as an event staffing business, workplace staffing tech solution and creative marketing agency, has recently benefited from support by the county council-run Staffordshire Jobs and Careers Service.

Among Wilkinson Collective’s well-known brands are The Great British Experience Co, Lunar Wedgwood restaurant, Alberts Café in Stafford, Coalition Event Services and iZero Technologies – a tech platform for workforce management.

Operations manager Sean Biggs said the Staffordshire Jobs and Careers service eases the stresses and cost of business recruitment by making sure that potential candidates are the right fit – not just for the job opportunity, but also for their company.

The no-cost, expert led service that boasts over 100 years of recruitment experience in Staffordshire has already worked with hundreds of businesses to help find the right talent through a fully managed service.

Sean said:

Staffordshire Jobs and Careers takes away that vetting process by working with us to thoroughly understand what we need, and to make sure that the individual and the business is compatible, which also means that they can get the most benefit.

It was really important for our business to use the service. We’re all about supporting local businesses and support programmes. This is going to help those businesses and employees to grow and develop – they are in safe and expert hands with Staffordshire Jobs and Careers.”

The expert service not only supports businesses with CV shifting, development of an advertising strategy and preparation of the right potential candidates for interview and employment, but also spends considerable time working with businesses to truly understand their needs and business culture.

Staffordshire County Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for economy and skills Philip White said:

The Staffordshire Jobs and Careers service is the best place to go for anyone looking for new employment and skills as well as businesses needing to fill vacancies with appropriate candidates.

It’s fantastic to see a well-established business like Wilkinson Collective using the service – both for the benefit of the business and new employees.

Our service, which involves a range of partner organisations, has a team of specialist brokers to match people with lasting employment based on their skills and experience. It can also signpost them to other support organisations if needed.

Our aim is to ensure people can make the most of local opportunities and gain lasting, better paid and better skilled jobs, while businesses are more confident about taking on employees that are suited to their operations to help boost productivity.”
