Work on a major highways improvements scheme on the A53 Buxton Road in Leek has been completed.
The £330,000 scheme, carried out by Staffordshire County Council is part of a wider £50 million investment in the county’s roads over the next three years.
Work included resurfacing of the road, along with repairs and replacement of damaged kerbs and drainage.
Mark Deaville, Cabinet Member for Strategic Highways at Staffordshire County Council said:
“This is a busy main road linking Leek with the Peak District so it’s great to see the work completed.
“Good roads are important for people and for our local economy, which is why we are investing more than £50 million in them over the next three years. I’d like to pass on my thanks to people for their patience while this important work was done.”
