Families are invited to a series of free family-friendly learning events taking place across the county next week in the school half-term holidays.
Staffordshire County Council’s Libraries and Arts service are hosting a range of exciting events as part of the Staffordshire History Festival and Family Learning Festival.
With games, toys, crafts activities and competitions, there will be something to suit everyone that wants to join the fun.
Families can drop-in and get stuck in, with everything from playing 1970s number games, such as Connect 4 and Skittles, making a lavender bag and making fruit kebabs and bread from scratch.
Victoria Wilson, Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture at Staffordshire County Council said:
“Family activities in our libraries have always been really popular and I’m sure these events will be no exception.
“It’s a great way to keep the kids’ minds ticking over during the half-term break, but also a good opportunity for parents to meet our Community Learning and Family Hub teams to find out about the support and learning opportunities on offer right across the county. Whether that’s to keep learning with their children or find courses to help them with the day to day, and even progress their career, there’s hundreds of flexible, and often free courses ready and waiting.”
