Hauntingly fun Halloween Trails await this half term

Spooktacular Halloween Trails NEWSROOM

Spooktacular Halloween Trails are taking place at Cannock Chase and Chasewater country parks in Staffordshire.

Families are invited to embark on 'spooktacular' Halloween trails at Staffordshire’s country parks this October half-term – if they dare.

Willow the Tree Witch has had all her magical potion ingredients stolen by some very naughty monsters – she needs all the help she can get to find them in time for Halloween.

From Saturday 26 October to Sunday 3 November, Staffordshire County Council’s ‘Spooktacular Halloween Trails’ are taking place at both Cannock Chase and Chasewater Country Park from 10am until 3pm.

Trail sheets cost £3 each and can be collected from the visitor centres at both country parks. There is no booking required and fancy dress is highly encouraged.

Once the trail has been completed and all missing potions have been found, Willow the Tree Witch will reward her little helpers with a prize goodie bag.

Victoria Wilson, Staffordshire County Council’s cabinet member for communities and culture, said:

“Join us for some October half term fun with our Spooktacular Halloween Trails. It’s a fantastic way to get the whole family outdoors, enjoy the beauty of our country parks, and keep the children entertained.”

Staffordshire County Council has earmarked £18 million in coming years to upgrade the country parks at Cannock Chase and Chasewater, as well as the Staffordshire Way, which runs 92 miles between Mow Cop and Kinver.

The investment is part of the Council’s commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of life for Staffordshire residents.
