Worn speed cushions are being replaced by highways crews in Violet Way, Burton-on-Trent.
Motorists in Burton are being reminded about highways safety improvements due to start on Monday 21 October.
Highways crews from Staffordshire County Council will be replacing several worn speed cushions on Violet Way in the town.
To make sure the work can be carried out safely, sections of the road will be temporarily closed with diversion routes in operation while immediate works are being carried out. Crews hope to have the work completed in two weeks, weather permitting. Access to properties and businesses will be maintained at all times.
Mark Deaville, cabinet member for strategic highways at Staffordshire County Council said:
“Keeping our roads safe remains a priority for the county council and these are important improvements for the area.
“As always, crews will be doing their upmost to get the work done as efficiently as possible and I would ask people to follow any local instructions from the team around keeping the road clear of parked vehicles.
“I’d like to thank people in advance for their patience and co-operation.”
The improvements are all part of a wider £50 million investment into the county’s roads over the next three years.
