Shire Hall Business Centre in Stafford has become a hotspot for professional and digital businesses, with all office spaces now fully occupied.
Shire Hall is one of Staffordshire County Council’s eight enterprise centres across the county, offering flexible and affordable workspaces tailored to the needs of startup businesses and remote professionals.
A key draw for small businesses is the centre's flexible rolling monthly contracts, which allow companies to rent office space without the constraints of long-term leases. This flexibility also means they can scale their office size up or down each month based on their evolving needs.
The Rocketeer Group, a business coaching firm, has been based at Shire Hall since March.
Now, they’re bringing extra value to the centre by hosting a monthly entrepreneur club offering networking, support and advice to both new entrepreneurs and established business owners.
Richard Wood, CEO of the Rocketeer Group, said:
“Shire Hall is just such a fantastic venue, it’s so bright and colourful. To me, it’s like a mini google!
“Enterprise centres are great for smaller businesses that don’t want to take on too much cost or too much commitment at the wrong stage in their business growth.
“The monthly flexibility on the leases is really helpful because it allows us to not overcommit to where we may or may not be in the next six to twelve months.”
In addition to office units, Shire Hall has meeting rooms and hot desks available to book from just £10 a day – perfect for remote workers who need a professional workspace away from home.
Philip White, Staffordshire County Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for economy and skills, said:
"Shire Hall Business Centre has truly become a vibrant home for Staffordshire’s growing business community. The demand we’re seeing highlights the appeal of flexible, affordable workspaces, especially for startups and remote professionals.
“Our goal is to support businesses at every stage, providing a foundation where they can grow, adapt, and thrive. We’re thrilled to see Shire Hall buzzing with new energy and creativity, making it a brilliant addition to Stafford’s business landscape."
Hot desks and meeting rooms at Shire Hall are available to book daily with quick and easy online booking.
A range of offices, workshops and industrial units are still available to rent at the county council’s seven other enterprise centres in Burton, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford and Cannock.
