Completed roadworks on Baldwins Gate

A major highways improvements scheme at Gateway Avenue in Baldwins Gate has been completed.

The £170,000 scheme included the reconstruction and resurfacing of the road, along with repairs to damaged kerbs and ironworks.

The work, which took three days to do, was carried out by Staffordshire County Council and is part of a wider £50 million investment in the county’s roads over the next three years.

Mark Deaville, Cabinet Member for Strategic Highways at Staffordshire County Council, said:

“It’s great to have another scheme completed and nice to hear some positive feedback from local residents.

“Good roads are really important for residents and for our local economy, which is why we are investing more than £50 million in highways over the next three years.  As always, crews would like to thank people for their co-operation during the works.”
