Wombourne HWRC will be operating five days a week.
A household waste recycling centre (HWRC) temporarily closed by subsidence will reopen on Friday, 15 November.
Wombourne HWRC will open from 10am to 4pm five days a week thereafter, closing on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The southern side of the site will be open to four cars at a time and will accept general waste, including bulky items, garden waste and wood.
Simon Tagg, Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet member for Environment, Infrastructure and Climate Change, said:
We have worked hard to reopen Wombourne for the local community and I would thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we resolved this unusual situation.
Our arrangements for eligible residents to use Dudley Council’s Stourbridge site remain in place, and Bilbrook HWRC is also an option for some.”
Residents will still be able to use the Stourbridge site if they come from a qualifying postcode, eligible addresses are listed here.
Visits to Stourbridge must be booked in advance with 10 minute slots available through an online booking system. Vans, pick-ups, trailers, or trade waste will not be accepted.
Bilbrook HWRC is also available and is open seven days a week and can be found at Pendeford Mill Lane, Codsall, WV8 1RR. The centre accepts most forms of household waste.
