A major highways improvements scheme at Scot Hay Road and Kents Lane junction in Silverdale has been completed.

The £295,000 scheme was completed by Staffordshire County Council and included reconstruction and resurfacing of the road, along with repairs to damaged kerbs, ironworks and drains.  The scheme is part of a wider £50 million investment in the county’s roads over the next three years.

Mark Deaville, Cabinet Member for Strategic Highways at Staffordshire County Council, said:

“Good roads are essential for people and for our local economy, which is why we are investing more than £50 million in highways over the next three years.

“Earlier this month, crews completed some vital work at Baldwins Gate and it’s good to see another important scheme completed in the borough.  A huge thanks to businesses and residents for their patience and co-operation, while crews did the work.  I hope people enjoy the smoother journeys.”
