Small businesses up to five years old in Staffordshire can still benefit from free expert digital marketing support before Christmas through a county council support programme.
The Get Started and Grow scheme offers small businesses the option to get a full package of digital marketing collateral, a digital review and expert advice.
Digital marketing is one of the most effective ways to reach potential and existing audiences; helping to target the right people and make a huge difference to sales. Businesses will be able to choose from social media advice, marketing strategy and digital advertising content, but also benefit from a full website review and a half day workshop – all fully funded by the county council.
Businesses should register their interest in pre-Christmas digital marketing support now.
The Get Started and Grow programme also offers new and growing businesses branding and logo design, website, cashflow forecasts and accounting support, legal and HR support – all completely free of charge and completed by approved professionals.
The programme launched in 2021 initially supporting start-up businesses. Research carried out by the county council found that young businesses looking to plan their next stage of growth needed support, with expert digital marketing at the top of the list.

Staffordshire County Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for economy and skills Philip White said:
We know small businesses across the county will be looking for a pre-Christmas boost to sales and our Get Started and Grow programme is there now to give them the digital marketing guidance they need.
Get Started and Grow is making a difference to new businesses – providing free expert advice in areas where they have less expertise to give them added confidence.
We have a strong record for start-up survival in the county. It’s hugely encouraging that Staffordshire is providing the right environment for start-up businesses to thrive, and vitally to operate successfully through the difficult first few years.
At the county council it is a priority to us to provide support to these enterprises in a targeted and relevant way, ensuring they have the guidance they need to succeed and grow.”
