The programme is for children and young people aged 5 - 16 years who receive benefit related free school meals.

Eligible children and young people in receipt of free school meals will be able to attend funded holiday activities, providing healthy food, fun and sports, during the school holidays. If your child is eligible, they should receive a unique HAF registration code.

Eligible families will receive an email directly from Staffordshire County Council with your child's Unique Reigstration Code. You will need this code in order to book activities for your child.

If you think your child is eligible but you haven’t received any information, please contact your child’s school in the first instance or Family Hub. If they are not sure whether they are in receipt of benefit related free school meals, please apply online and advise your school if your claim is approved.

Providers have been commissioned and evaluated on their ability to meet the ‘DfE HAF Standards Framework’ which include Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Insurance.

HAF does not offer clubs for half term breaks.

There will be a ‘Book Now’ button on our webpage when registration opens. This will take you to the EEQU website where you can search by postcode for clubs and activities close to where you live. The clubs and activities in your area will appear and you can book directly on their website. 

You may book up to 4 sessions per child.

There are limited places made available to children and young people who could benefit from a HAF place. If you have booked and your child cannot attend that day, please notify the club as soon as possible so that another child can be given the opportunity to attend on that day. Failure to notify could result in your other bookings being cancelled.

The information you provide us with will be used to record your child’s participation in the HAF programme. The HAF programme is funded by the DfE and we are required to report back to them on the number of children who have benefited. Where necessary this information may also be shared with selected partners.

HAF does not issue food vouchers, supermarket vouchers or any assistance for household support or winter warmth.
