Training Update – Level 1 Children’s Safeguarding Training Now Available.
Dear Operator,
Face to face Level 1 Safeguarding Training was suspended in March 2020 due to the restrictions placed upon us by Covid-19.
We had hoped to re-start our face to face training in August, but for the safety of trainers and attendees, it has been decided that the suspension will continue until at least the end of 2020. We are therefore moving to online training provided by Staffordshire and Stoke Childrens Safeguarding Board (SSCSB).
Please note that this is the only online training that we will accept.
Initial training and refresher are all now covered by the same online course
Instructions are provided below to tell you how access and pay for the training. The cost of the training is £30.00, which is paid directly to SSCSB and the instructions below cover how payment is made. We appreciate that some operators will already have paid for face to face training which could not be delivered. The training payment refund can be applied for, and instructions on this are also below.
Please use our online payment system to pay for DBS applications and badges as you did before. However, you will not be able to book or pay for training. When paying for badges and/or DBS applications there is a box at the bottom of the online form where you will need to either:
- Upload a face to face training certificate from a Local Authority (e.g. Stoke/Tamworth etc) as you did before, or
- Upload the certificate awarded for completing the online SSCSB training, or
- Type in the box ‘Online training applied for’
