Charges and fees for planning related services

From 1 April 2024, the charges for publications and tasks are as follows:

Fees for planning applications (set nationally) (external link to guidance)

Pre-application advice services

• Initial pre-application advice - £330 including VAT

• Detailed pre-application advice (Option A) - £520 including VAT

• Detailed pre-application advice (Option B) -  £1040 including VAT

• Further detailed pre-application advice:

• • Admin - minimum charge - £40 per hour including VAT

• Planning Officer - minimum charge - £72 per hour including VAT

• Specialists (per specialist) - minimum charge - £72 per hour including VAT

Minerals and Waste Site Monitoring Fees (set nationally):

• Active Sites - £397

• Inactive Sites - £132

These planning policy documents are no longer available in print.  They are however free to download from our website. Alternatively in response to individual requests, they can be printed at cost, plus packaging and postage, or copied to CD and posted at cost plus packaging and postage.

 General photocopying charges:

• A4 - 15 pence per sheet

• A3 - 30 pence per sheet
