Without the Newsplan website, tracking down all remaining copies of a specific local newspaper would be very difficult. Newsplan West Midlands is a database of all known newspapers published in the West Midlands region - the historic counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.  It gives details of their names (and changes of name), dates of publication, and the details of the holdings of each paper in libraries and archives, whether in the original, or on microfilm. This invaluable resource was created in 2008 by a partnership of the British Library, local library and archive services, and The Laser Foundation.
