Staffordshire County Council (Watery Lane, near Lichfield)
(30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2023
1. Staffordshire County Council on 26th September 2023 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that imposed a 30 mph speed limit on Watery Lane, near Lichfield.
2. Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Lichfield Library, The Guild of St Mary's Centre, Market Square, Lichfield or at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders.
3. Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.
4. The Order will commence on 2nd October 2023

(30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2023
The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph on the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Order.
2. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
3. This Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Watery Lane, near Lichfield) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2023 and shall come into operation on 2nd day of October 2023.
SCHEDULE
Watery Lane, near Lichfield - from a point approximately 90 metres north of its junction with Vallentin Way and continuing to a point approximately 800 metres in a generally northerly direction.
