Staffordshire County Council (A521 Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter Road, Draycott in the Moors
(40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 mph on the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Order.
2. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
3. This Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (A521 Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter Road, Draycott in the Moors) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024 and shall come into operation on 13th of February 2024.
Schedule
Uttoxeter Road, Draycott in the Moors and A521 Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge – from a point approximately 148 metres west of the centreline of the junction of Stuart Avenue and Uttoxeter Road to the junction of A521 Uttoxeter Road and A50 Trunk Road.

(40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
1. Staffordshire County Council on 13/02/2024 made a Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that imposed a 40-mph speed limit on A521 Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter Road, Draycott in the Moors.
2. Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Blythe Bridge Library, Uttoxeter Road, Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent or at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders.
4. Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.
5. The Order will commence on 14/02/2024
