(Revocation of 40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
1. Staffordshire County Council on 06 August 2024 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that revoked the 40 mph speed limit on Brocton Road, Brocton which will then assume restricted road status.
2. This Order will revoke the County Of Stafford (40 MPH Speed Limit) (Various Roads at Milford, Stafford) Order 1982 in so far as it relates to this Order.
3. Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Baswich Library, Lynton Avenue, Baswich, Stafford.
4. Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.
5. The Order will commence on 08 August 2024

(Revocation of 40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Order will revoke the County of Stafford (40 MPH Speed Limit) (Various Roads at Milford, Stafford) Order 1982 in so far as it relates to this Order.
2. This Traffic Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Brocton Road, Brocton) (Revocation of 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024 and shall come into operation on 08 August 2024.
3. The section of road subject to this Revocation Order will assume Restricted Road status with a 30mph speed limit.
4. No speed limit resulting from this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

(30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph on the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Order.
2. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
3. This Order will revoke the County of Stafford (40 MPH Speed Limit) (Various Roads at Milford, Stafford) Order 1982 in so far as it relates to this Order.
4. This Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Brocton Road, Brocton) (30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024 and shall come into operation on 08 August 2024.

(Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles Over 7.5 Tonnes Gross) Order 2024
1. Staffordshire County Council on 06 August 2024 made a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit the use by any heavy commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross metric operating weight of 7.5 tonnes on Brocton Road, Pool Lane, The Green and Sawpit Lane, Brocton.

(Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles Over 7.5 Tonnes Gross) Order 2024
The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of their powers under sections 1(1), 2(4) and 3(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-
1. This Order shall come into operation on the 08 August 2024 and may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Brocton Road, Pool Lane, The Green and Sawpit Lane, Brocton) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles over 7.5 tonnes gross) Order 2024.
2. In this Order, "heavy commercial vehicle" means a vehicle as defined in Section 138 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
3. Save as provided in Article 4 of this Order no person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, use, cause, or permit any heavy commercial vehicle to proceed in any of the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Order.
4. Nothing in Article 3 of this Order shall render it unlawful for a heavy commercial vehicle to proceed on any length of road specified in the Schedule to this Order if the vehicle is being used:-
(a) for or in connection with the conveyance of goods to or from any premises situated on or adjacent to that length of road;
(b) for the purposes of agriculture on any land adjacent to that length of road or in connection with the conveyance or haulage of timber felled upon such land;
(c) in connection with the carrying out, or on premises situated on or adjacent to that length of road, any of the following operations, namely:-
(i) building, industrial or demolition operations;
(ii) the removal of any obstruction to traffic;
(iii) the maintenance, improvement or reconstruction of the said lengths of road or side of road;
(iv) the laying, erection, alteration or repair in, or in land adjacent to the said lengths of road or side of road of any sewer or any main, pipe or apparatus for the supply of gas or electricity or of any telegraphic line as defined in paragraph 1(1) of the Telecommunications Code contained in Schedule 2 of the Telecommunications Act 1984; any sewers and pipes or apparatus for the supply of water; or for resource mains and also any flood defence works or land drainage works.
(d) for fire brigade, police or ambulance purposes;
(e) to proceed to or from any premises which are situated on or adjacent to that length of road and at which the vehicle is to be, or has been, garaged, serviced or repaired;
(f) in the service of a local authority or water undertaker or sewerage undertaker or the Environment Agency in pursuance of statutory powers or duties; or
(g) on that road for or in connection with the conveyance of goods for sale from the vehicle; or
(h) to gain access to premises situated on or adjacent to that length of road.
5. The Council are satisfied that for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Order run by restricting the use on those roads of heavy commercial vehicles it is requisite that Section 3(1) of the Act of 1984 should not apply in relation to this Order.
