Statement of Reasons

The following Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO) are being proposed as measures to address concerns over inappropriate parking raised by the local community in those areas listed below. The three separate orders form part of the Divisional Highway Programme for the three local County Councillors for Watling South, Perrycrofts and Bolebridge.

Hockley Road (Watling South)- The proposal is to consider the installation of no waiting at any time restrictions to alleviate parking issues caused by inappropriate parking on Hockley Road. In addition, the scheme will also pursue the removal of a short section of no waiting at any time parking restrictions from New Road. This will help to provide additional space to allow access to off street parking.

The above measures are proposed to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. As well as facilitating the passage on the road, or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

Rosy Cross (Perrycrofts) – The proposal is to consider the installation of no waiting at any time restrictions to alleviate parking issues caused by inappropriate parking along the narrow section of Rosy Cross.

This proposal is considered in order to facilitate the passage on the road, or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

Thomas Street (Bolebridge) – The proposal is to consider the installation of no waiting at any time restrictions around the junction of Rosewood Close and Thomas Street. The measures are intended to provide junction protection and maintain the visibility splay.

The above measures are proposed to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
