Work placement - Open Door
Open Door Staffordshire is a structured work placement programme. It offers Staffordshire jobseekers relevant work experience placements to enhance their employability and develop their skills, both within Staffordshire County Council and external organisations. The work experience placements are unpaid and can be flexible to fit schedules.

Candidates must be:

Actively job seeking
Please note: If you are seeking work experience to support college or university studies, you will need to contact the relevant departments directly.
What's involved
During the placement you will be treated like an employee and therefore given appropriate work. This will increase your skills and experience in the area of work you are hoping to gain paid employment or develop a career.
You will receive on the job training and a mentor to ensure you gain as much experience as possible to add to your CV and assisting with job applications.
Placement period
The placement is for 12 weeks. The days and hours of work are flexible to suit the candidates needs and the needs of the placement.
At the end of the placement
Paid employment is not guaranteed at the end of the placement. Once you have completed 12 weeks you can leave with a reference or the placement can be extended for a further 12 weeks to enhance development.
