Walking Bus

The Walking Bus scheme has been successfully operating in Staffordshire schools since 1999.  The scheme promotes walking to school and a healthy, active lifestyle whilst caring for the local environment at the same time.

Walking Bus is currently undergoing a major revamp and relaunch in Staffordshire and we would like as many schools as we can to get involved. Walking Buses can be led by Parent Volunteers, School Staff, or a combination of both.

Staffordshire County Council will support your school with resources and equipment as well as a route audit. All Walking Bus leaders need to be DBS checked and will receive training information on how to operate the Walking Bus on a safe route.
