Journey Planning

Planning is the key to an active journey, there are many ways to plan using digital online support. Some useful links are below to plan either all or part of your journey. Schools will be receiving more detailed maps through the summer holidays, which they will send out to parents. Once you have planned your journey, try it out for timing, get to know the route and for those children transitioning to a new school build confidence in a new area.

New starters travelling to school

For new starters travelling to school for the first time, check out our School Run Revolution booklet for great advice and tips on how to travel sustainably to your school.

Printed copies of these are available to your school for your new intake if you are working with us to promote Active Travel to school.

Year 6 transition to independent school travel

We also have Way2Go Transition resources available to year 6 pupils moving into secondary school to help them plan for independent school travel as they begin their new chapter.
