To check if you are at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes, visit the Diabetes UK website to find out your risk score. Finding out your risk score only takes a few minutes and is free to do
If you live in Staffordshire and aged between 40-74 years you may be able to get a free NHS health check, please call 0333 005 0095 to find out more.
Your Healthier You service
If you are at High Risk, the Healthier You | Diabetes Prevention can help you. This service can support you to make positive changes to your lifestyle and improve your risk score.
The free service can support you to make changes to your lifestyle to delay or prevent type 2 diabetes. This will include advice and help on:
- eating healthier and improving your diet
- losing weight
- increasing physical activity and exercise
Please speak to your GP practice to see if you are eligible.
