Implementation Notice and Order
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The Staffordshire County Council (East Staffordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2020 (Amendment) No. 27/2024
- Staffordshire County Council on 5th March 2024 made a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce the following:
- No Waiting at Any Time on B5234 Duffield Lane, Yoxall Road and Chapel Lane in Newborough
- No Stopping on School Keep Clear Markings, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 9:30am and 2:30pm to 3:30pm on Yoxall Road in Newborough.
2. Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH, and during opening hours at Uttoxeter Library, Red Gables, High Street, Uttoxeter.
3. Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.
4. The Order will commence on 11th March 2024.

Staffordshire County Council (B5324 Duffield Lane / Burton Road, Newborough)
(40 and 50 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
- Staffordshire County Council on 5th March 2024 made a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that imposed the following speed limits:
- 40 mph speed limit on B5234 Duffield Lane / Burton Road, Newborough
- 50 mph speed limit on B5234 Burton Road, Newborough.
2. Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Uttoxeter Library, Red Gables, High Street, Uttoxeter.

The Staffordshire County Council (East Staffordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2020 (Amendment) No. 27/2024
The Staffordshire County Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124(1)(d) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act of 1984") as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") as amended and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 hereby makes the following Order:-
1. This Amendment Order shall come into operation on 11th March 2024 and may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (East Staffordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2020 (Amendment) No. 27/2024
2. The above Order amends the Plans which form part of the Staffordshire County Council (East Staffordshire) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2020 by the addition of the Plan marked CN 181 incorporating waiting restrictions at locations specified in the following schedule.

(40 and 50 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. No person shall drive any motor vehicle exceeding the speed limits specified on the lengths of roads in the Schedule to this Order.
2. No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
3. This Order may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (B5324 Duffield Lane / Burton Road, Newborough) (40 and 50 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024 and shall come into operation on 11th day of March 2024.

- 40 mph on B5324 Duffield Lane / Burton Road, Newborough - from a point approximately 145 metres south-east of its junction with Chapel Lane and continuing in a generally south-easterly direction to a point approximately 200 metres south-east of the junction with Brickhill Lane.
- 50 mph on B5234 Burton Road, Newborough – from a point approximately 200 metres south-east of its junction with Brickhill Lane and continuing for a distance of approximately 300 metres in a generally south-easterly direction.
