Prohibition of U-turn Order, 2024
1. Staffordshire County Council on 09/01/2024 made a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will prohibit any vehicle from making a U-Turn on Talke Road, Newcastle under Lyme.
2. Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at (Library or District Council, or additional places for deposit of documents).
3. Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.
4. The Order will commence on 17/01/2024

Prohibition of U-turn Order, 2024
The Staffordshire County Council ("the Council") in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby makes the following Order:-
1. Save as provided in Article 2, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to make a U-Turn on the length of road specified in the schedule below.
2. Nothing in Article 1 shall render it unlawful for a vehicle to make a U-Turn, for police, fire brigade and ambulance purposes.
3. This Order shall come into operation on the 17th day of January 2024 and may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Talke Road, Bradwell) (Prohibition of U-Turn) Order 2024.
