Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Staffordshire County Council (Tamworth) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) Order No 1 (Amendment) No. 50/2023

1.       Staffordshire County Council on 12^th December 2023 made a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to No Waiting at Any Time on Thomas Street, Rosewood Close, Rosy Cross, Hockley Road and Tinkers Green Road (Tamworth)

Removal of No Waiting at Any Time on New Road, Tamworth

2.       Documents may be examined during office hours at 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH, and during opening hours at Tamworth Library, Corporation Street, Tamworth.

3.       Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court.

4.       The Order will commence on 20^th December 2023

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The Staffordshire County Council (Tamworth) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) Order No 1 (Amendment) No. 50/2023

The Staffordshire County Council  in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124(1)(d) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act of 1984") as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") as amended and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 hereby makes the following Order:-

1.       This Amendment Order shall come into operation on 20 December 2023 and may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council (Tamworth) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) Order No 1 (Amendment) No. 50/2023

2.       The above Order amends the Plans marked DF 277, DF 278, DC 264, DD 267 and DD 266, incorporating waiting restrictions at locations specified in the Schedule to this Order and which form part of the Staffordshire County Council (Tamworth) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) Order No 1 and in substitution thereof.
