Bus Lanes

Bus lanes and bus only streets help public transport to run in busy areas. We monitor the lanes with cameras to make sure that they are used correctly.

Vehicles which enter bus lanes or bus only streets illegally may receive a penalty charge notice.

How much will I be fined?

Fines are fixed. Bus lane offences cost £60 which will be reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days.

If you have not paid after one month, you will also be billed for all additional costs of recovering your debt.

Disputes will be resolved by an independent adjudication service.
