Glass bottles and jars
Reuse
Jars can be used as storage containers.
Recycle
Bottles and jars should be rinsed before recycling, too much residue or liquid can contaminate the recycling process.
Kerbside recycling
Drink bottles, food jars and bottles such as perfume can be put for kerbside collection. Toughened glass such as Pyrex, glass crockery and drinking glasses should be taken to one of Staffordshire’s Recycling centre for recycling. Check your local council for further information on kerbside collections.
Recycling centres
Staffordshire’s recycling centres accept all types of glass, ask a site attendant if you are unsure which skip to use. Please note there is a charge for window/sheet glass.
