Rubble

It is not a statutory duty for the sites to take waste that isn’t produced in the normal day-to-day occupation of a home. Certain waste from household maintenance and improvement or garden work is not legally regarded as normal household rubbish and a charge or disposal limit can be made.

Please ensure that tiles are free of plaster, to remove plaster from tiles, soak them overnight in water. Please visit our Plasterboard/Plaster webpage for details on where to dispose if it: Plasterboard - Staffordshire County Council

How much will it cost?

The charges will be based upon the quantity of material deposited, the first two 50L bags will be free of charge. Payment for bags* will be whole or multiple of bags.

£3 per bag or unit (e.g. a Shower Screen) after the first two bags. You can pay with credit or debit cards, as we cannot accept cash or cheques.

*Charges are based on standard rubble bags which are approximately 76cm x 96 cm. They are available from DIY stores or you can buy them from the recycling centre for 10p. Waste can be presented loose or in different sized bags and charges will be estimated by staff.

Please note: these charges only apply to householders. They do not apply to trade waste which has a separate scheme.
