Liberty Park
No bridge too far when it comes to supporting business
Liberty Park, Lichfield, is a £38million development of 441,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse units that will create hundreds of jobs.
In order to develop the Liberty Park site, access improvements were required which involved demolishing and replacing the existing bridge over the West Coast Mainline and new roads providing the access to the site.
The work was carried out by Staffordshire County Council, cost £4million and was paid for from the Local Enterprise Partnership’s Growth Deal funding allocation from the Government, with additional financial contributions from a private developer called Liberty Property Trust.
With the redevelopment of the bridge completed, construction of new industrial and warehouse units by Liberty and its partner Stoford Developments can now take place, and there is active market interest in the site.
