Curriculum content

Class/subject teachers ensure that:

  • The curriculum is differentiated flexibly to meet the needs of pupils with social communication needs (AET, Core Competencies, C&L2).

  • A broad and balanced curriculum is delivered that encompasses aspects of the social and emotional wellbeing of pupils, their communication needs and life skills (AET, Core Competencies, C&L3).

Please refer to the Tools for Teachers section on the AET website for more details on making adjustments to the curriculum content. There is a small charge for this but it is available free when schools attend the Tier 2 or 3 training.
