Cannock walks

Starting point: The Glacial Boulder
Facilities: Parking is available at The Glacial Boulder car park. There are cafés at Marquis Drive Visitor Centre and Birches Valley Forest Centre.
The walk begins at The Glacial Boulder and continues across the heathland to the pine woodlands in Brindley Heath. The route takes you past the Visitor Centres at both Marquis Drive and Birches Valley before crossing over the quarry to Sherbrook Valley.
Distance: 4 miles (short walk), 6 miles (long walk)

Starting point: Rugeley Trent Valley railway station.
Facilities: Parking is available at Rugeley Trent Valley railway station (OS049191), there are two pubs along the walk and all other facilities can be found in Rugeley town centre.
The route goes through woodland and along a trackway to join the Staffordshire Way at Stockwell Heath. The return journey takes you through Colton village then onto the Trent and Mersey Canal, crossing one of Brindley's aqueducts.
