Newcastle walks

The seven walks below make up The Newcastle Way. Each section can take at least three hours with a few stops to complete:
Mow Cop to Kidsgrove Bank
Distance: 3.1 miles
Estimated walk time: 3 hours +
Starting point: Mow Cop Castle.
Facilities: Car parking is available at Mow Cop Castle. There are 2 pubs along the route.
Kidsgrove Bank to Red Street
Distance: 2.4 miles
Estimated walk time: 3 hours +
Starting point: Entrance to Birchenwood Country Park
Facilities: Parking available at Birchenwood Country Park. There is a pub at the end of the route.
Red Street to Black Bank
Distance: 3.1 miles
Estimated walk time: 3 hours +
Starting point: Crown Inn, Red Street.
Facilities: Apedale Heritage Centre and Café are towards the end of the route.
Black Bank to Madeley
Distance: 4.3 miles
Estimated walk time: 3 hours +
Starting point: Black Bank Road.
Facilities: Parking available at Black Bank Road. There are two pubs a short detour from the route.
Madeley to Blackbrook
Distance: 4 miles
Estimated walk time: 3 hours +
Starting point: Junction of Holborn and Castle Lane.
Facilities: A pub is available at the very end of the route.
Blackbrook to Loggerheads
Distance: 3.7 miles
Estimated walk time: 3 hours +
Starting point: Junction of Wharmadine Lane and A51 Nantwich Road.
Facilities: There are several pubs along the route.
Loggerheads to Market Drayton
Distance: 4 miles
Estimated walk time: 3 hours +
Starting point: Loggerheads Inn.
Facilities: Loggerheads Inn and shopping in Market Drayton at the end of the route.
