Common land and town or village greens
Land which is subject to common rights, owned by individuals and can include activities such as collecting firewood and grazing livestock is known as Common Land. Town or Village Greens are generally areas of land used by the public for recreational activities. Both these land types are registered under the Commons Registration Act 1965 and Commons Act 2006, and we are the Registration Authority for Staffordshire. Refer to the GOV.uk for more information.
