Early Years Practitioner Hub

Welcome to our new learning platform: the Staffordshire Early Years Practitioner Hub.

The Practitioner Hub now contains information on all the training and learning available for early years practitioners working in a Staffordshire based early years setting.

The 'Hub' allows practitioners to view and book learning that is applicable their role in early years.

Information on event will alos be available through the weekly Early Education and Childcare e-bulletins and our facebook page.

Practitioners

The Hub allows practitioners to:

  • search by categories or dates of events
  • book events and learning
  • practitioners to manage their own bookings, cancel, add to waiting lists if events are full
  • set reminders to be notified of future events
  • submit evaluations and download certificates and more.

Managers

Managers can control and manage the bookings for their own practitioners at the setting. Managers need to register for an account and should then contact our team to request this access.

E-learning and Webinars

We are currently building brand new content that will be available sometime in the new year. Futher updates will be available soon

Questions for practitioners

  • How do practitioners book onto an event?
    • practitioners must register at which point you become a delegate. Once registered, delegates can book onto any event that has places available.
  • Some events have a pre event evaluation before booking on, do delegates need to complete this?
    • Yes, these will take seconds to complete. They are used to track if the learning of the course is effective.

  • What if a delegate does not attend an event they were booked on?
    • It is in the terms and conditions that delegates/settings might be charged for not attending events they were booked onto. Simply cancel your place as soon as possible.

  • Can a delegate cancel their booking?
    • Yes, delegates can do this by logging into their account and go to the section Your History and Bookings where they can cancel a booking.

  • Can delegates send someone to an event in their place?
    • Yes, but the replacement will still need to register to book onto an event. This is so they will receive the evaluation and certificate. If a delegate is not booked onto a course they may not be allowed to attend it on the day. In the event of an event being fully booked, delegates will need to contact our team to replace one delegate with another from the same setting.

  • Can delegates just turn up on the day?
    • No, delegates need to register and book onto the event and they will be allowed to attend.

  • How will delegates be reminded about an event?
    • delegates will receive booking confirmation.  Delegates can add the event to their own e-calendar and set their own reminders for sessions that are hosted virtually i.e. via MS Teams. Delegates will also receive 2 reminders before the event and when to complete evaluation and download a certificate post event.
