Anti-social behaviour
Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) is defined by the Crime and Disorder Act 1988 as:
“Acting in a manner that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as the complainant”
This definition includes a range of incidents, including rowdy and inconsiderate behaviour, vehicle related nuisance and neighbour disputes.
Reporting Anti-Social Behaviour
Please report anti-social behaviour to the police or your local borough/district council if you or someone you know is a victim of anti-social behaviour.
- If anti-social behaviour is affecting your quality of life, call 101
- If the anti-social behaviour makes you feel threatened, you or someone else is in danger, or the anti-social behaviour is in progress, call 999
- It can also be reported to your local council
