Website updates found at South Staffordshire roadworks overview - Staffordshire County Council
Staffordshire County Council will shortly be carrying out Structural Maintenance Works on A460 Cannock Road at Featherstone Interchange. The team will be clearing back overgrown vegetation, cleansing all gully’s and resurfacing the carriageway.
All lane closures and road closure phases will take place at night time.
When are the works taking place?
The work will commence on 18th September 2024.
All works will take place between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.
How long will the works take?
Approximately 3 weeks.
Will I be able to access my home/business?
For the safety of the public and of the work force, there will be phased traffic management including lane closures followed by full road closures. Where road closures are required a full, signed diversion route will be in place.
What effect could the works have on me?
We take care to make sure that work is completed with the minimum of disturbance to the local community but as with any major works, some minor traffic delays may occur.
Although we will do our best to ensure that noise pollution is kept to a minimum, it is likely that construction noise will be heard during the working times.
Please take care to plan your journeys as delays may be expected during the works.
How you can help us
You can help us to get the job done with the minimum of fuss by following this advice:
- Please keep children away from the works to ensure their safety.
- Please drive slowly and cautiously through the works when lane closures are in place.
- Check your shoes before entering your property or car to make sure there is no bitumen from the works.
