Wraparound childcare programme
Staffordshire County Council have programme funding to deliver the National Wraparound Childcare Programme. Staffordshire primary schools, middle schools and private voluntary and independent (PVI) providers (including childminders and early years settings) can apply for Wraparound Programme funding to support with increasing capacity or increasing operational hours (or both).
What can funding be used for?
Programme funding is available to help with:
- staffing costs for a year whilst demand grows,
- essential resources
- any other associated costs with growing the provision
The funding will remove any financial risk to providers of offering additional places before demand is guaranteed.
Funding is available to support:
- extend/ test operational hours (8am -6pm)
- and /or increase places
- set up new provision/ working in partnership with a private provider

How to apply?
If you are interested in applying for funding to support the sustainability of your provision to increase hours and or the number places of your wrapround provision, please complete the application form.
Applications can be submitted online, with supporting information to eeac@staffordshire.gov.uk before 31st December 2024.

What next?
The local authority review panel will meet regularly to assess applications to ensure applicants receive a prompt response. Once the budget is fully spent, the local authority will not receive any additional funding, and the application process will close.
