Drainage Works Redhill Road, Stone
Staffordshire County Council in conjunction with Amey Ltd will shortly be carrying out significant works on Redhill Road, Stone to improve the existing highway surface water drainage systems.
When are the works taking place?
The work will commence on 11 March 2024.
What is the duration of the works?
Approximately 8 weeks to complete the works.
Will I be able to access my home/business?
To minimise disruption, traffic management consisting of a Give and Take system is planned for this scheme.
Access to properties will be maintained wherever it is safe to do so but for certain elements of the works access may be restricted when open excavations are present. As such, as it is hoped can be appreciated some delays may be encountered as the works progress.
What effect could the works have on me?
We take care to make sure that work is completed with the minimum of disturbance to the local community but as with any major works, some minor traffic delays may occur.
Although we will do our best to ensure that noise pollution is kept to a minimum, it is likely that construction noise will be heard during the working times.
Please take care to plan your journeys and if necessary, move vehicles to an accessible location during work phases (public letters will be delivered to affected properties with specific scheme details).
How you can help us
You can help us to get the job done with the minimum of fuss by following this advice:
- Please keep children away from the works to ensure their safety.
- Please drive slowly and cautiously through the works.
- Check your shoes before entering your property or car to make sure there is no bitumen from the works.
