What are we doing?
We will be carrying out maintenance and infrastructure improvements along the A34 Corridor, from Weeping Cross to the Town Centre.
The scheme includes road and transport improvements including road and bridge maintenance work, active travel, passenger transport and street lighting improvements on the A34, between Stafford Town Centre and the A34/A513 double traffic island junction at Weeping Cross.
Roads affected include A34 Lichfield Road, North Walls, Queensville Roundabout, Queensville, Radford Bank, Baswich Lane, Cannock Road and Weeping Cross.
The roadworks are planned to be carried out in eight phases. Works started in early June 2024 and are planned to be completed July 2025. Bus services will be affected in Phases 2 and 3. Further details can be found here.
